Dunhampstead Level Crossing – Polysafe Panel Removal and Reinstallation (Down Road)

At Dunhampstead Level Crossing, we successfully completed works involving the removal and reinstallation of the existing Polysafe level crossing panels on the Down Road. The operation was carried out using a Bobcat skid-steer loader to safely lift and manoeuvre the heavy panels. The panels were temporarily removed to allow for detailed inspection and maintenance of the track bed beneath. Following the inspection, the Polysafe panels were carefully reinstalled to restore the crossing surface. All works were completed efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to rail and road users while maintaining full compliance with safety standards.
